Skype 5.0 Now Available for Mac

Skype 5.0 beta has finally arrived for the Mac, allowing Mac using to finally utilize the handy video calling feature that Windows users have been enjoying for awhile now. The good news is that this version comes with Mac-only perks, like a single-window UI and address book integration. The contact list is now an attached sidebar to the main calling window, making it easier to call, SMS, or IM friends even when they’re offline. The new call control bar is located above other windows, allowing users to easily pause, mute, or hang up even while using another app. Of course, there’s also the hyped-up video calling feature, which can accommodate 10 people. However, they all have to be running Skype 5 on Windows or Mac.
