Skype 5.0 for Windows Has Facebook Integration
The rumors about Facebook integration with Skype is true – Skype 5.0 for Windows is now out, and it takes advantage of Facebook Connect. This new version pulls out the news feed from your Facebook account and lets you view it, make comments, and like statuses when you log onto the Skype client. Skype 5.0 also allows you to make calls and SMS your Facebook friends on their Skype, home, or mobile numbers.
Besides these features, the updated version also provides trial access to the group video call beta, which allows up to 10 participants to join in the call and automatically shifts the display to the person speaking. There’s also the automatic call recovery feature, which reconnects dropped calls almost seamlessly, UI changes, and easier access to screen sharing.
