Microsoft Provides Do-It-Yourself VoIP
Microsoft is providing a software-based VoIP system for small businesses who usually have to turn to telephony experts to install and maintain their phone systems. The Microsoft VoIP system Response Point runs on Quanta, D-Link, and Aastra, and features voice-activated commands and other user interface enhancements. It already began shipping last November and initially had focus on internal VoIP calling. But with SP1 trunking, Response Point can allow small business to speak to clients and customers through the internet without having to worry about the quality of the service.
