Analyst Rob Enderle believes a Microsoft Federal Communications Commission filing seems to indicate, “an internet device or a mobile VoIP phone,” which, “certainly could be a Zune derivative product,” says MarketWatch.
A VoIP-enabled Zune would differ greatly from the iPhone, intended for use on cellular networks.
Enderle said Bill and the Boyz would probably want to avoid partnering with large cellular carriers, who’d demand a “high level of control over product launches,” says the story. read more?
