3G iPhone Release Date Confirmed
Gizmodo reports that Apple will be launching the 3G iPhone on June 9, 2008 at the WWDC Keynote, after which it will be available worldwide and not at the end of the year as everyone all thought. The new iPhone will also have new sales policies in different countries. For instance, the 3G iPhone will be released in Spain on June 18 at the grand opening of the Telefonica megastore, a big store similar to the Apple Store. Other European countries will probably have a similar release date. The iPhone also won’t be having a fixed price point for some countries. That means carriers will probably use the iPhone as part of their marketing strategies to capture clients. No word as to when the 3G iPhone will be arriving in Asia yet!
